I didn't do that to her, just her body. She really was dead already when that happened. She... had a trick up her sleeve that spared her the worst. I mean, I didn't... she didn't have to... she died first is all.

But no, she really ... she really isn't like you. I don't quite know how to describe her attitude, actually. She's able to deal with it, but it isn't because of that. It's almost like that didn't piss her off at me nearly as much as my reaction afterwards. she sort of ...

Maybe one way to think of it is that she thought of it like 'I played with fire. Why should I be pissed if I got burned?'

Well, that's one way of looking at it, I guess - I mean, by now we all know the associated risks so, it's our responsibility as much as anyone's to make sure we're OK. If we don't, well... Yeah.

[He leaves the thought unfinished and decides to pick a more upbeat tack.]

It was an interesting conversation we had this past time. Made much easier by me keeping to audio instead of video. Understanding her nature a little better... well. It's interesting, and it certainly put down a few things I'd been wondering about.

A fair amount of it was probably bull. Keep in mind that that part of me works with whims. Things it says about itself could change in an hour. It's kind of crazed and all over the place as a result.

Dare I ask what she said that opened your eyes?

Mostly talking about the key differences between Demons and Humans. Suppression of will versus allowing those darker impulses free reign. It was eye opening - Also, the fact that there's no real... um, how to put it? There isn't like a build up of impulses. It isn't, as I'd been theorizing to myself, a case of latent energies exploding when given an avenue to do so. It's more like a straight gear switch.

That.. might be a good explanation. I'm not entirely sure. But yeah, it's a lot less like the impulses are building up honestly. More like it's something that ust turns on.
