[She had waited a couple days. She'd touch base with Regina and Ritsu later, one when she didn't feel like she wanted to throttle him for probably apologizing for being weak, the other because it was just... uncomfortable for two half demons to talk. Hisao, however, she needed to apologize to.]

I hope you're doing alright physically. Right now, I'm just glad she was dicking around too much and that Merlin and Regina stopped me before I hurt you two more than that. If you're still in a forgiving mood, you can contact me when and if you wish. If not, I understand.

[So, it took him a while to reply. Mostly because he wasn't sure how to say what he wanted to say. But eventually, he figured he had everything covered and set about typing.]

Hi Samantha - I hope this finds you well.

I do forgive you. I know it's not your fault. I wanted to say that first before anything else. Whatever was going through her head, I came out alright anyway and I'm not one to hold a grudge.

Having said that, I think if we're going to continue being friends, we might need to work out a way for me to make sure I'm not being fooled. I took your invitation in good faith and she was good enough to make me think it was You asking. Which is, if I'm being honest, kind of scary. I was actually really happy you invited me over - Quite a shock to then be chloroformed and tied to a medievil bacon slicer.

In short, I'm not angry at you or anything. And I don't want to abandon our friendship. But if you have any ideas on how we could make this safer, I'd be all ears.

[Without any fanfare, you find a link to her expansive Nightlight fanfiction. It's around 300+ pages, and it basically is a much, much darker AU in which she basically rewrote the entire plot from the beginning to involve actual, non-sparkling vampires and three-headed werewolves.

There's also another link to a supplemental guide to some of the new terms and mythologies that she made up just for this fanfiction.

Also, the writing style of these two? There is a ton of purple prose to be found, as well as highly cheesy plot twists at every turn.

[He read it of course - it took him a few days inbetween work and his other responsibilities, and he reread a few parts just for fun before replying. OK, so, the strange plot twists were a bit startling at points, but he really had no problems with overly descriptive prose. Her vocabulary was impressive, to be honest. He knew as fanfiction, it might strike a bit to the left of it's target audience due to it's length and detail. But all in all? He actually liked it.

....the fact that it used far more interesting monsters was a huge selling point. He was a little leery of the idea of requiring supplimental notes to define certain things but could see why they were necessary and they were useful in understanding the work. He found himself cross-checking the two documents a little on that second read through of the main story.]

I immensely enjoyed your work. It's a little longer than I was expecting but a far more satisfying read than the source material. Your portrayal of the Sullens as more classically accurate vampires especially made this a more enjoyable read. Your own mythos was an intriguing extra dimension and I have to thank you for the supplimental notes - Hopefully they can make their way into a sequel or a prequel so the depth of your world building can become more a part of the flow of the story. The creative leg-work you've done in establishing this as a familiar yet different universe is great and I'd definitely read more of it either way.

Of course, I offer this praise as a reader and not so much a writer! Hopefully you didn't find my own effort too terrible!
